Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Twice Taught.

The agreement

These terms are between you and JarBeak Software, who operates Twice Taught. Creating an account means accepting them.

What the service does

Twice Taught records incidents, the timeline of what happened, the follow-up work that came out of them, and what was learned. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not monitor your systems and it will not tell you that something is wrong.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. One person belongs to one organization; if you need to work with a second organization, use a separate account.

Your organization's administrators can see and remove the work recorded in it, including yours.

What you may not do

Do not use the service to break the law, to store other people's personal data without a reason to, or to attack the service or the people using it. Do not attempt to reach another organization's data.

Paying

The free plan is free and stays free. The paid plan is billed in advance through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your organization's billing settings, which opens Stripe's portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund a period already paid for. When a subscription ends the organization returns to the free plan — nothing is deleted, but older incidents stop being viewable until you subscribe again.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will make a reasonable effort to keep the service running and your data intact. We do not promise it will always be available, and there is no service level agreement.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Every incident can be exported as a document from its own page.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why when we do.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change matters we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the United States, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions about them go to [email protected].

Questions about any of this? Write to us — we would rather explain it than have you guess.
